Voyager of the Seas To Sail Seasonally From Hong Kong

Royal Caribbean is continuing their build up in the Asian cruise market with a new seasonal departure port for the 2015 cruise season.

Between the months of June and October 2015, Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas will offer 22 roundtrip sailings from Hong Kong’s newly built cruise terminal. Guests aboard one of the 22 sailings will have the opportunity to visit exotic ports throughout China, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and many others. The itineraries will vary in ports of call and will sail between three and and ten nights.

“As a global industry leader, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is committed to pursuing the exciting strategic opportunity that Asia in general and China in particular represent,” said Adam Goldstein, President and Chief Operating Officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. “As a testament to our commitment and confidence in Hong Kong and the surrounding region, Voyager of the Seas, one of our flagship vessels, will offer sailings into and out of Hong Kong starting in the summer of 2015. To support our expansion, we have now established a fully staffed office in Hong Kong, building on our 20 years of success in the market.”

According to Royal Caribbean’s Regional Vice President of Asia and Managing Director of China, Dr. Zinan Liu, the Voyager of the Seas will undergo an extensive “bow to stern” renovation in preparation for her season sailing sailing from Hong Kong. The Voyager of the Seas will reposition to her new homeport following a special six night sailing from Beijing to Hong Kong in early June 2015.

Royal Caribbean is currently undergoing a massive expansion in the Asian cruise market, positioning a number of ships in ports throughout China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. Royal Caribbean’s biggest investment in the region will be the positioning of the Quantum of the Seas in Shanghai beginning in 2015. The Quantum of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s soon to be newest ship, will be the largest, newest, and most innovative cruise ship the region will offer.
