In roughly 30 days, I will be sailing on my first of two cruises this summer. So far, I have kept both cruises under wraps and haven’t leaked too much information on them. I’ve kept them secret for a reason: to make them a surprise. Recently, though, I have wondered if this is what my reader’s want. In the past, I usually made my cruises public about a month before departing, but the pre-cruise posts never seemed to attract any attention and it wasn’t until I boarded the ship that readers became interested. So, I want to get your take on announcing cruises. Do you care either way, do you like to know which ship I will be on, or should I make the lead up to my cruise like a guessing game? Here are the options I am proposing:
1) Keep A Lid On It! – Basically, you would find out which ship I am on, where I am sailing to, and when once I board the ship on day 1.
2) Tell Us, Tell Us! – You would know which ship, which ports, and when at least a 2 weeks before sailing.
3) Challenge Me! – Every few days, I would release another clue on Cruise Currents, our Twitter, and Facebook that would eventually reveal all my cruise details.
So which would you prefer? Let me know in the poll below! The poll will be open until midnight this Friday. Results will be announced on our blog this coming Monday.
