Tropical Storm Karen Delays Two Carnival Ships

Carnival Cruise Line’s has been forced to delay the arrival of the Carnival Conquest and Elation in New Orleans due to the approaching Tropical Storm Karen.

Tropical Storm Karen has forced the closure of the Mississippi River, banning all ship traffic for the remainder of the weekend. Due to this, the Carnival Elation’s Saturday arrival and the Carnival Conquest’s Sunday arrival have been delayed to Monday.

The Elation’s upcoming sailing has been shortened to a 3 night all “sea day” cruise . Guests who choose to sail on the shortened sailing will receive a 50% refund and a 50% discount on a future cruise. The Conquest will now sail a 6 night shortened sailing, calling in Key West and Nassau. Guests who choose to sail will receive a one day pro rated refund.
