UPDATE 1 – SUNDAY, AUGUST 21 2:15PM
Tropical Storm Irene has disrupted 2 cruise itineraries this week so far. The Port of San Juan has closed, and ships will now have to find an alternate port. Here is a list and description of itineraries currently impacted by Irene, courtesy of Cruise Critic…
OASIS OF THE SEAS
Royal CaribbeanĀ has reversed the itinerary forĀ Oasis of the Seas, which left Fort Lauderdale on Saturday for a week-long Western Caribbean cruise. The ship will now spend Sunday at sea; visit Cozumel on Monday; spend Tuesday at sea; call on Falmouth, Jamaica on Wednesday; and visit Labadee, the line’s private peninsula, on Thursday. Oasis will spend Friday at sea before returning to Fort Lauderdale on Saturday as scheduled.
CARNIVAL MIRACLE
Carnival Miracle, which embarked from New York on an eight-night Eastern Caribbean cruise on Thursday, will be sailing an altered itinerary. Instead of visiting San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk, the ship will call on Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay.
I will try my best to update you on this storm, but if I am not able to please also refer to Cruise Critic, Weather Channel, and your cruise line (if you are sailing soon.)

When does hurricane season finally end?
