I’m leaving on august 6th out of Tampa on the carnival paradise which has stops on wednesday and thursday in grand caymans and Cozumel. This is our first time cruising and don’t know what to expect. Do they ever just cancel?

Hi Lisa,
First off welcome to the awesome world of cruising, you’re going to have a great time on the Paradise! Currently the path looks like it won’t affect your cruise. The cruise lines would never just cancel a cruise, they would probably just delay the departure or switch the itinerary. So hopefully you’re cruise will stay on course, it looks promising! Have a great cruise! -Mikey

happy to have found you.
The Progreso economy depends on cruises. Your blog is a one stop business and activity planner for us. We’ll be sure to share it.

We leave Thursday August 9th on a carnival cruise out of Galveston and plan to arrive in Cozumel on the 11th for the day. Then head back to Galveston. Will the hurricane path affect us during our trip?

Hi Bliss,
Congratulations, you’re cruise is going to be fine! Hurricane Ernesto will have moved out of the area by the time you are docking in Cozumel. Hope you have a great cruise!
-Mikey
