Safety At Sea: 5 Tips To Cruise By

Watch For Thresholds

This one is pretty unique to cruise ships. Here on dry land, we don’t typically have to cross elevated thresholds to move from one room to another. On cruise ships, many doorways (most notably the doorway between your bathroom and stateroom) will feature an elevated threshold. These are built in to prevent water from moving from one area to another, but can be trippy if you aren’t paying attention to where you’re walking. Always ensure to keep an eye out for these unique doorways.

news brief
