Royal Caribbean Expands Presence In Tampa

Royal Caribbean has announced that beginning in 2014, they will deploy a second ship to the Port of Tampa.

Along with the Brilliance of the Seas, the Vision of the Seas will begin sailing from Tampa in the fall of 2014. Vision of the Seas is scheduled to sail weekly, 7 night western Caribbean cruises from the port. She will depart from Tampa each Saturday during its season, sailing to some of the Caribbean’s most popular ports of call including Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and a call in either Roatan or Belize.

“It is extremely exciting to see Royal Caribbean International’s continued support of the Tampa cruise market by adding an additional vessel to our thriving home port. Royal Caribbean is a very important partner, offering a quality cruise experience to their guests and significant economic value to the port and our region,” Paul Anderson, port president and CEO, said.

Vision of the Seas will arrive in Tampa after a 9 night Caribbean repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale on November 6, 2014.

Western Caribbean cruises from Tampa aboard the Vision of the Seas are now open for booking.
