Over the past few months, Royal Caribbean has taken significant steps to increase its presence in the Asia/Pacific cruise market with the deployment of new and larger ships to ports throughout China, Singapore, and Australia. Royal Caribbean is now set to again increase their presence in the Australian market with the seasonal deployment of Legend of Seas from Brisbane.
Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, beginning in November 2015, will begin sailing seasonally from Brisbane, Australia to a variety of ports throughout the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia.
The eight and 11 night South Pacific itineraries will include calls in Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Loyalty Islands, and Fiji. A 14 night New Zealand itinerary will feature calls in Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, Akaroa, and Dunedin, as well as scenic sailing through the Dusky, Doubtful, and Milford sounds. Finally, a seven night Australian itinerary will call in a number of ports throughout Queensland, featuring a special overnight call at Cairns.
The Legend of the Sea’s new Brisbane sailings will be proceeded by a number of repositioning sailings between Fort Lauderdale and Singapore beginning in the early months of summer 2015. Once the Legend of the Seas arrives in Singapore later in the summer, the ship will offer a variety of three to ten night sailings throughout Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam until November 2015.
