Earlier this week, a fire aboard Royal Caribbean’s Granduer of the Seas forced the ship to divert to Freeport, Bahamas. Initially, only the May 31st sailing was cancelled to allow for repairs. Royal Caribbean has now announced that the Granduer of the Seas will remain in Freeport to allow for necessary repairs.
This necessary repair time will force Royal Caribbean to cancel the next 5 sailings aboard the Grandeur of the Seas. These sailings include: the June 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th sailings in addition to the July 5th sailing.
All guests on the aforementioned sailings will receive a full refund of their cruise fare as well as a 25% discount on a future Royal Caribbean cruise.
