Royal Caribbean Announces Itinerary Changes For Rhapsody in 2015

According to Cruise Passenger, Royal Caribbean has decided to move Rhapsody of the Seas to Europe in 2014. The ship was originally scheduled to sail the summer of 2015 in Alaska, departing weekly from Seattle.

The change in itinerary for Rhapsody of the Seas will force Royal Caribbean to cancel two repositioning cruises in April and May of 2015. The first sailing cancelled is the 16 night Sydney to Australia sailing departing on April 17, 2015. The second is a 13 night Honolulu to Vancouver sailing departing on May 2, 2015. Guests are currently in the process of being contacted about the itinerary change and are being offered either a full refund or the chance to move to one of the new repositioning sailings.

In order to move the Rhapsody of the Seas to the Mediterranean, Royal Caribbean has scheduled three new repositioning sailings. The first is a 16 night Sydney to Singapore sailing, departing on April 17, 2015. The second new sailing is a 14 night night Singapore to Dubai sailing, departing on May 3, 2015. The third sailing sails for 15 nights, embarks in Dubai and disembarks in Istanbul, sailing on May 17, 2015.

These new sailings from Sydney to Istanbul are a first for Royal Caribbean and the line hopes that these new sailings will offer a new, leisurely way for Australians to travel to the Mediterranean.

“cancelled is the 16 night Sydney to Australia”???? – what 15 days anchored under the SH bridge is it or the longest harbour cruise ever. Who writes this rubbish? Lift your game!
