Princess’ newest ship and sister to the highly acclaimed Royal Princess, Regal Princess, debuted today in Venice, Italy for her inaugural sailing through eastern Europe.
The Regal Princess, which recently completed construction at Fincantieri’s nearby Monfalcone yard, set sail today on her inaugural sailing. The special seven night sailing will call in Corfu, Mykonos, and spend a night in Istanbul before returning to Venice next week.
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome another addition to the Princess family with Regal Princess,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president. “This new ship now expands our fleet to 18 vessels that visit worldwide destinations, and guests traveling aboard Regal Princess will truly have a special experience while enjoying her exciting features including the showpiece atrium, exceptional dining, relaxing Lotus Spa and innovative features like the over-water SeaWalk.”
The Regal Princess features all of the special amenities and features of her sister the Royal Princess, while offering an additional swimming pool at her stern and offering passenger access to the exterior promenade.
Following her inaugural sailing, the Regal Princess will offer guests two distinct Grand Mediterranean sailings between Barcelona and Venice throughout the summer and fall. At the conclusion of her season in the Mediterranean, the Regal Princess will reposition to Fort Lauderdale in November, where she will be christened and kick off a season of eastern Caribbean sailings.
