P&O Cruises Debuts New Livery

This past week, P&O Cruises debuted a new British themed livery for its fleet of ships.

The new livery features an enlarged, modified British flag on the ship’s hull and bow, accompanied by a blue funnel with the line’s gold rising sun logo. The ship’s modified flag design will be the longest version of the British flag in the world, measuring 308 feet long. The new livery will be rolled out to the entire fleet throughout the next year, making its debut on the Aurora after her short dry dock later in 2014.

David Dingle, the chief executive of P&O, stated, “In our 177th year we are unveiling a new, contemporarily styled livery which symbolizes all that we stand for, pointing to the future and celebrating our British heritage. This modern new look will exemplify the strengths and virtues of our company long into the future.”

The new livery will also be worn by P&O’s new build, Britannia, upon her debut in February 2015.
