Norwegian Getaway’s Winter Welcome (Photos)

As the Norwegian Getaway sailed into New York Harbor earlier today from a short preview sailing, the ship was welcomed by an unusual powder white substance unbeknownst to many other cruise ships. Unfortunately for the tropical themed Norwegian Getaway, she was quickly cloaked in a blanket of snow, forcing many guests to remain inside and skip many of the Caribbean suited activities located on the ship’s outer decks. The Queen Mary 2 was also the victim of a snow storm earlier this year, delaying her departure from New York City.

Check out the chilly photos from the Norwegian Getaway, provided to Cruise Currents by Michele Bridges of the Friendly Norwegian Freestyle Cruisers Facebook group.
