MSC Cruises today announced its new signature soundtrack, a comprehensive playlist designed to reflect and evoke the company’s core personality, its Mediterranean roots and the region’s celebrated values of warmth, humanity and authenticity.
As part of its commitment to providing guests with an enhanced onboard experience, MSC Cruises joined forces with DMX, a global leader in creating engaging sensory services, to offer a unique compilation of distinct sounds from around the world, reflecting a broad array of musical styles and nationalities created for the enjoyment of its international clientele.
The soundtrack, which includes a mix of contemporary and classical tunes that appeals to all ages, is also tailored to reflect the mood and time of day in public areas, such as the main reception and bar, restaurants, outdoor areas, the gym and Spa. Guests enjoying spa treatments can tailor music to their individual tastes.
Popular artists on the soundtrack include Brigitte Bardot, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Manu Chao, Ojos De Brujo, Celine Dion, Cesaria Evora, Nelly Furtado, Serge Gainsbourg, The Gipsy Kings, Sophia Loren, Dean Martin, Yannick Noah, Luciano Pavarotti, Laura Pausini, Edith Piaf, Eros Ramazzotti, Amalia Rodrigues, Nino Rota, and Shakira, among many others.
The new soundtrack will be played on all ships across the fleet, including the MSC Poesia, currently sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the MSC Divina, which will be sailing from PortMiami, beginning Fall 2013.
