#MikeyOnMariner – Help Me Decide: Specialty Restaurant

Good afternoon everyone! It is currently 3:24 here in Genoa, Italy on board the beautiful Mariner of the Seas. I have some exciting things planned for the remainder of the day such as ice-skating, dinner, listening to a muster drill that I don’t have to be a part of, and tonight’s show. Anyway, I have a question for you. Later in the cruise I will be dining in one of the ship’s specialty restaurants, but I can’t decide which one to choose. So, as a blog reader, which restaurant would you like to hear about more?

Chop’s Grille – Royal Caribbean’s popular signature steakhouse, featuring grade-A premium cuts of steak cooked to your specifications, plus fresh seafood, hearty side dishes and signature desserts in an upscale, contemporary setting.

or

Giovanni’s Table A casual Italian trattoria with indoor and al fresco seating, Giovanni’s Table offers rustic dishes with a contemporary flair, including toasted herb foccacia, pastas, braised meat dishes and stews, served family-style.

So please go ahead and vote for your favorite restaurant so that I may enjoy the delicious and tantalizing food that Royal Caribbean offers!

Poll closes: 7:00pm Monday, July 6th – Ship time

Mikey, Too bad we were jut a day off in each port! I’m in Barcelona and put up a post with photos. We get on the Serenade tomorrow.
Enjoy your trip!

I’m going to have same cruise in august too!!!
Two things: I’m from Genoa, and the city is really famous for traditional pesto sauce (basil Made ), focaccia and Cristoforo Colombo that should sounds familiar 🙂
BTW what about the price for dining on the traditional restaurant on board? Such the ones You described in the blog…?
And what about the entertainment on board Program?
Cheetah from Genoa!

Hi Luca,
First off, you are going to have an awesome time, it was definitely my best cruise ever! If you stay on the traditional dining program, it’s free. The specialty restaurants do cost extra. Giovanni’s is $25 and Chop’s Grille is $30. The entertainment was pretty good. Make sure you see the ice show, it’s very well done. Hope you have a great cruise!
