Meyer Werft Begins Painting Norwegian Getaway’s Hull

As Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Norwegian Getaway nears her delivery date, more progress is being made on her design both internally and externally.

The Norwegian Getaway’s hull art, designed by David “LEBO” LeBatard, is beginning to be applied to the ship’s currently white hull. The process of applying the full art will take about two months, utilizing the talents of multiple painters at Meyer Werft. The design for the Norwegian Getaway features a tropical, bright theme celebrating her homeport of Miami and her year round sailing to the Caribbean.

Check out the photos from the shipyard and the final design rendering:

The Norwegian Getaway is currently under construction at Meyer Werft’s Papenburg yard. The Norwegian Getaway is sister to the recently launched Norwegian Breakaway and has a scheduled delivery date of January 2014.
