Making Waves Soon: Pearl Seas Cruises

It’s been a long time in the making, but after almost 7 years of delays, Pearl Seas Cruises will soon be taking to open waters.

As I sat down for my interview with Britt Rabinovici, Public Relations Manager for Pearl Seas, and Susan Shultz, Director of Sales for Pearl Seas, you could tell they were excited to finally discuss their fledgling cruise line with definite answers. Britt began by giving me the most important piece of information – the inaugural sailing date. Throughout the years, Pearl Seas has set indefinite dates as their inaugural, but Pearl Seas finally has one they can definitively publish. The inaugural cruise will take place on June 25, 2014, embarking on an 11 night Atlantic Coast cruise, which will embark in Baltimore and disembark in Halifax. The ship – the Pearl Mist.

pearl seas“The Pearl Mist is a ship designed for softer adventure and a true luxury experience,” says Susan Shultz “While she has a similar design to the ships in the American Cruise Lines fleet, she is a completely different experience, a more upscale one.” It’s true. The Pearl Mist will feature all balcony accommodations, additional and expanded lounges, a library lounge, a theater, wireless internet, and for the first time on a coastal cruising ship – a dedicated spa and fitness center. All amenities built for the guest’s complete comfort. Even the ship’s staterooms are designed for comfort. Aboard the Pearl Mist, stateroom sizes range between 302 and 580 sq. feet, about a 54% increase in stateroom size compared to the industry average. Dining aboard the ship is of the highest standard and guests have the option to dine with whomever they please. Britt Rabinovici describes the design of the new ship,”The Pearl Mist was designed to offer the intimacy and luxury amenities of a private yacht with the safety and comfort of a large cruise ship. For those looking for a soft adventure in an upscale, personalized setting, this is a ship for them.”

Pearl Seas Cruises even features an impressive lineup of historical and culture filled itineraries. From the Atlantic Coast, to the Great Lakes, and into the northern island of Canada – Pearl Seas offers an incredible array of exciting itineraries of varying lengths. Most of Pearl Seas Cruises sailings depart from a major US or Canadian city, so the sailings themselves are very accessible by the majority of cruisers.

Once Pearl Seas begins cruising, the dream and vision of many people involved with the cruise line will finally come to fruition after many years of uncertainty and delay. Pearl Seas will redefine small ship cruising and will stand out as a unique option within the luxury cruise market. Finally, their ship has come in.
