Joseph Tirello is a 12-time cruise veteran from Macon, Georgia who enjoys experiencing and writing about food. He has dined all over his home state, as well as in other culinary capitals of the world including New Orleans, New York, Paris, and London where he had the chance to celebrate his birthday in 2009 with dinner at Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s. He enjoys cooking for friends and family and is into food photography, much of which can be seen along with his collection of restaurant reviews on Menuism. His reviews were twice selected as features on Menuism’s Restaurant Roundup, and his review of the Carnival Fascination was selected as Review of the Month on CruiseMates. Jacques Pepin is his culinary idol, his hero is Anthony Bourdain, Ruth Reichl is his food writing Yoda, and his mother and grandmother inspired him to learn how to cook. When not reading or writing about food, Joseph is an information technology professional in the healthcare industry. He is married and has a daughter in middle school. Joseph’s bucket list includes a cruise to Northern Europe and experiencing the tasting menu at The French Laundry.
