Hurricane Raymond Disrupts Cruise

Hurricane Raymond, a category 3 hurricane off the coast of western Mexico, has forced one ship to delay departure from a port of call and skip another.

Holland America Line’s Westerdam has opted to remain in Puerto Vallarta from today through 1 pm on Wednesday (10/23). Due to this “sheltering in place,” the Westerdam will be forced to skip her scheduled call in Huatulco on Thursday (10/24). The Westerdam is currently sailing a 15 night Panama Canal cruise from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale.

As Hurricane Raymond moves west, the storm is not expected to affect any other cruise itineraries.
