Today Carnival Cruise Lines announced that in April 2013 they will deploy the Carnival Legend to sail in the Baltic Sea departing out of Dover, England. She will sail a single 12-night sailing to Norway and Western Europe, a single 12-night sailing around the British Isles with stops in France and Norway, and multiple 12-night cruises around the Baltic Sea.

Throughout Legend’s Baltic sailings she will visit Copenhagen; Warnemunde, Germany; Helsinki; St. Petersburg, Russia (an overnight call); Tallinn, Estonia; and Amsterdam.

She will also cruise a few 12 night Mediterranean cruises departing from Venice, Barcelona, and Dover. She will sail to various ports in Italy, France, Croatia, and on other cruises in Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Spain, and Monaco. In total she will spend roughly 6 months in Europe.

She will start to make her way over to Europe on April 7th, 2013 with a 15 day trans-Atlantic cruise which will include stops in Bermuda; Ponta Delgada (Azores), Portugal; and Malaga and Palma de Mallorca, Spain. She will then complete her season with another 15 night trans-Atlantic on November 12th, 2013 calling in Palma de Mallorca and Malaga; Funchal (Madeira), Portugal; Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands; and the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay.

In all, this will be a great addition to the cruise market in Europe, especially to the cruisers in the UK considering they will now have a Carnival ship practically in their backyard.
