Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas will replace the Adventure of the Seas in Southampton during the summer of 2015. The Adventure of the Seas has been chosen to remain in San Juan through the 2015 summer season, offering weekly seven night sailings through the southern Caribbean.
The ship switch, which will take place in in April 2015, will have the Explorer of the Seas taking over Adventure’s originally scheduled three to 16 night, roundtrip sailings between late April and September 2015. The wide variety of itineraries offered include three and eight night Northern Europe itineraries, 11 to 16 night Mediterranean itineraries, and 10 to 14 night Madeira, Azores and Canary Islands itineraries.
Prior to Explorer of the Sea’s deployment to Southampton, the ship will undergo an extensive, month long renovation. New amenities will include Royal Caribbean’s signature Flowrider, a 3D movie theater, virtual balcony staterooms, and a number of dining options. In addition, new staterooms and suites will be added to multiple decks.
Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas will be joined in the United Kingdom by Anthem of the Seas in Southampton and the Brilliance of the Seas in Harwich.
Explorer of the Seas is currently homeporting in Bayonne, New Jersey, offering a variety of sailings to the Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.
