Earlier this morning around 3:00am, Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas rescued Nathan C. Owen about 200 miles northwest of Bermuda.
Nathan C. Owen was sailing board his 46 foot racing yacht, Seabiscuit in the 2012 Newport Bermuda Race. Once Owen was brought aboard Enchantment, he was given food, water, and medical attention. The ship is currently sailing towards Boston, its next port of call, where Owen will disembark to receive further medical attention.
As of right now, there is no word on how Enchantment was dispatched to the scene of the dehydrated sailor.
Enchantment of the Seas is currently sailing on an 8 night Bermuda cruise from Baltimore.
A similar situation occurred a few months ago on a Princess cruise ship only with grimmer results. Good work Royal Caribbean.

Where do you get these stories from?
I am always watching for cruise news on Twitter, Facebook, and other cruise sites. Plus, I sometimes receive news tips from readers.
