Un-Cruise Adventures has unveiled its schedule of Alaska adventure cruises for 2016. Six small ships will sail 113 departures on seven itineraries.
Two new cruise itineraries — Exploring Muir’s Wilderness and Yachters’ Alaskan Frontier — will sail round-trip from Juneau.
Six boutique yachts and small ships — Safari Quest, Safari Explorer, Safari Endeavour, Wilderness Adventurer, Wilderness Discoverer and Wilderness Explorer — will carry between 22 and 84 guests on adventure cruises lasting one week to 12 days from hom eports of Seattle, Washington; Ketchikan, Juneau and Sitka, Alaska.
Every Alaska cruise includes adventure activities in remote wilderness: hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, skiff excursions and whale watching.
Alaska itineraries are arranged to allow travelers the option to combine up to three different weeklong cruises on the same vessel for voyages of 14 and 22 days long. A team of expedition guides lead excursions while providing interpretation.
A Family Discoveries program encourages families to bring children eight years and older. The Safari Endeavour hosts two photography and three marine biology theme cruises. All ships sailing into Glacier Bay will celebrate the National Park Centennial with special activities on departures around August 25, 2016.
