Cruise Industry Rewind: How Far We’ve Come Since 1900

As we wind down the year, it’s never a bad idea to look back at where we’ve been before stepping towards where we will be. Since the early 1900’s, the cruise industry has made unimaginable strides in passenger comfort, safety, and convenience. For those first passengers, the thought of a ship with an elevated observation pod, no less a waterslide, most likely didn’t even register in their imagination. We’ve truly made remarkable advances and continue to do so each year.

Last year, I produced a sort of timelapse, showcasing the growth and expansion of the industry through the decades. I believe it’s important to remember where one comes from. So, let’s take a quick look back and see where we’ve been and how far we’ve come.

Here’s to smooth sailing in 2015 and going further than before.
