Cruise Chat – Episode 1

YOU CAN LISTEN TO OUR FIRST EPISODE HERE

SOME CLARIFICATIONS AND CORRECTIONS FROM THIS PAST EPISODE…

REGARDING THE STRIKE IN ROME, THIS IS FROM JOHN HEALD’S FACEBOOK PAGE

For those who are sailing with me next cruise ( the 4th ) I need to tell you that there is a good chance there will be a strike in Italy the day we will be in Rome. This means there would be no buses, trains and the the public sites and major attractions will be closed. There will also be thousands of demonstrators there as well so obviously we can’t put guests there.

So the Carnival Magic had to skip Rome and sail to an alternate port.

REGARDING ROYAL CARIBBEAN REIMBURSING THEIR GUESTS

Kaleigh was correct when she pointed out that Royal Caribbean would be also reimbursing their guests along with a 30% discount on a future cruise. The reimbursements and discounts will only be for guests who missed the ship.

Thanks Mikey! I did some research as well, and there will be a general strike tomorrow, the 6th, in Italy and the Magic will exchange that port with another, then go back later in the week. It looks like the 30% was for people who did join the cruise later at the next port, to make up for the first couple of days they missed.
