After safely debarking guests in Mobile, Alabama, Carnival immediately began repairing the ship in a shipyard located near the Mobile Cruise Terminal. During her time in Mobile, the Carnival Triumph received many advanced upgrades to her fire suppression system, and had a second backup generator installed. She also had many critical safety systems aboard upgraded.

After major system repairs and upgrades were finished in Mobile, the Carnival Triumph sailed to Freeport, Bahamas under her own power. When she arrived in Freeport, the Carnival Triumph was put into a drydock facility to undergo major renovations, including the addition of the Fun Ship 2.0 features. Included in the renovation were the addition of Guy’s Burger Joint, the Blue Iguana Cantina, Red Frog Rum Bar, the EA Sports Bar, Alchemy Bar, and many other features. In addition to Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades, the Carnival Triumph also received new carpeting, and repairs to areas of minor wear and tear.

The Carnival Triumph, now completely repaired and upgraded, will resume her year round sailings from Galveston, Texas. The Carnival Triumph will sail a variety of 4 and 5 night Caribbean cruises throughout the year.
