Carnival Sending Second Ship To Australia In 2014

Earlier last year, Carnival Cruise Lines sent the Carnival Spirit to Australia to sail year round South Pacific cruises. The arrival of the Carnival Spirit marked the first time a Carnival ship had ever sailed from Australia. It is now clear that Carnival is in high demand for Australian cruisers, because Carnival has decided to base another ship out of Sydney beginning in 2014.

On September 24, 2014, the Carnival Legend will begin sailing out of Sydney, cruising eight to 12 days cruises visiting Pacific destinations including New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji. The Carnival Legend will join sister ship Carnival Spirit, which is based in Australia year-round.

Carnival is planning to announce the Legend’s itineraries sometime in the next few weeks. Carnival has also claimed that reservations are expected to open this June.
