Carnival Rolls Out New Loyalty Program

Earlier this weekend Carnival Cruise Line rolled out its brand new loyalty program, VIFP, also known as Very Important Fun Person Club.

As I said in a previous post, this program does a much better job rewarding its most loyal passengers, especially by the addition of new tiers and some new benefits. So instead of having me explain the program, why not watch this quick video Carnival has put together to explain their new program. Enjoy!

One thing not covered inĀ thisĀ video is the benefits, so I took the (Carnival) liberty to copy and paste the chart from my VIFP account. The chart explains how many points you need for each level, and what benefits come with which level. As you can see by the chart, I am Gold level. What level are you? What do you think about the benefits? What do you think overall? Ā Let us know in the comment section below.

Well this is unfortunate. Upon logging in to my Carnival account, I find most of my former profile information is gone along with my cruising history. I now have to research all my past crusies and claim them again. Anyone else get blanked out?

No this program is not better We finally reached the level of gold only to have it yanked from us ! We now have to go on 2 more cruises to get the same benifits we would have had on our next cruise! they should have grand fathered the previous program in! I may never cruise again, well AT least on carnival!!!!!

I have been told by a Carnival Rep on the phone that if you already have 8 or more cruises behind you, you will still obtain Platinum status on # 10. I called because i am at 9 currently and have # 10 scheduled for January. My current profile does reflect the correct number of nights, or ‘Points’ that i have sailed in my carnival history. Dunno if thid info helps anyone…..

I’ve been on a few cruises with Carnival. I was Platinum before the change over, and guess what, I’m still at the Platinum level.
