Carnival Magic To Undergo Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Magic will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation this month, adding a number of fan favorite dining and drink venues from the Carnival fleet.

New additions will include the always popular Guy’s Burger Joint, serving up handcrafted burgers and fries, designed by Guy Fieri; Red Frog Rum Bar, a poolside bar offering rum based frozen drinks; Blue Iguana Tequila Bar, Red Frog’s poolside neighbor, serving tequila based frozen drinks; Pizzeria del Capitano, a Lido deck pizzeria serving hand tossed pizzas throughout the entire day; and Alchemy Bar, a pharmacy inspired bar, serving up “prescriptions” to guests needing a little injection.

The Carnival Magic, sailing with the Carnival fleet since 2010, already offers a number of Carnival’s signature amenities, including SportSquare, Carnival Waterworks, the Punchliner Comedy Club, and Cucina del Capitano.

“Carnival Magic is already a groundbreaking ship – it was the first to feature our popular Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant, the Caribbean-themed RedFrog Pub and SportSquare outdoor recreation facility – and with these new features we’re making this spectacular floating resort even better,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.  “Following this extensive refurbishment, Carnival Magic will offer even more exciting on-board choices for travel agents to market to their clients,” she added.

Carnival Magic, following her drydock, will resume sailing from Galveston to the western Caribbean before repositioning to Port Canaveral in April. From Port Canaveral, Carnival Magic will offer weekly cruises to the western and eastern Caribbean through the year. The western Caribbean itinerary will feature calls in Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay, and Costa Maya; and the eastern Caribbean itinerary will call in St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk and Nassau or Amber Cove.
