Carnival Launches New ”Great Vacation Guarantee” Program

Earlier today, Carnival introduced their latest booking program, known as the Great Vacation Guarantee. The new booking program provides guests with the option to cancel their cruise early should they be dissatisfied with their cruise for any reason.

Guests booking with the new option will have the opportunity to cancel the remainder of their voyage within the first 24 hours of embarking. Guests who exercise the option to end their cruise early will be provided a 110% refund, complimentary air and ground transportation from the next port of call, and a $100 shipboard credit for a future Carnival cruise. Guests can simply notify the ship’s guest services desk within the first 24 hours of the voyage to end their cruise early and receive their benefits.

“We are proud to carry nearly 4.5 million satisfied guests each year and are very confident in the quality of the vacation experience we provide on board the 24 ships of Carnival Cruise Lines,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO. “The ‘Great Vacation Guarantee’ is designed to provide an assurance to those consumers who may be considering a cruise that we stand behind our product and, if they are dissatisfied for any reason, they have a simple and hassle-free means for receiving a full refund and more.”

The “Great Vacation Guarantee” is valid on all three- to eight-day voyages to The Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Canada and New England departing through April 30, 2015. The program applies to U.S. and Canadian residents only and guests must possess a valid passport to return to the U.S. by air.

Carnival are you serious? 110% refund, free air travel and ground transportation and $100 shipboard credit for their next cruise – BECAUSE they were unhappy the first 24 hours? I think this is was overboard. What about the Carnival Cruise who is loyal to Carnival and is a frequent cruiser – what about a $100 shipboard credit for booking another cruise. I think you have gone way overboard on this one……

Totally agree with you Glenn…. I’m a loyal Carnival cruiser since 2001. How about a program that gives you a free cruise for every 10 cruise you take?

That is a GREAT idea Jay. Most ANY cruise line that did that would have the most Loyal customers in the industry.

They will do anything to get you to cruise them!! Not me, I’ll stick with RCL!
