Carnival Imagination Begins Long Beach Deployment

On Sunday, the Carnival Imagination set sail on her inaugural sailing to the Mexican Riviera, launching its new deployment schedule from Long Beach.

The Carnival Imagination set sail from Long Beach yesterday, calling in Ensenada and Catalina Island later this week. The Carnival Imagination’s new deployment will have the ship sailing three days cruises to Ensenada departing each Thursday and four day cruises sailing to Ensenada and Catalina Island each Sunday.

The arrival of the Carnival Imagination in Long Beach marks the third Carnival ship to sail out of the port throughout the year. Sister ship Carnival Inspiration sails similar year round itineraries in addition to seasonal week long Mexican Riviera and 15 day Hawaii sailings aboard the Carnival Miracle.

The addition of the Carnival Imagination to Long Beach solidifies Carnival’s role as the port’s largest cruise operator, carrying 550,000 guests each year.
