Carnival Cruise Line’s is set to become Galveston’s largest cruise line following the announcement of Carnival Freedom’s deployment to the Texan port beginning in February 2015.
The Carnival Freedom, which will be joined by fleet mates Carnival Magic and Carnival Triumph, will begin sailing from Galveston in February 2015. The ship will offer year round, seven night sailings to the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Florida. The inaugural sailing from the port will embark on February 15th and offer guests a six night sailing to the western Caribbean, calling in Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel. Following the short sailing, the ship will launch her year round schedule of seven night itineraries.
The Carnival Freedom will offer three unique seven night itineraries from Galveston:
- A seven night western Caribbean sailing departing on Saturday, calling in Cozumel; Belize; and Mahogany Bay, Roatan.
- A second seven night western Caribbean sailing departing on Saturday, calling in Montego Bay, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Cozumel, Mexico.
- A seven night eastern Caribbean sailing departing on Saturday, calling in Key West, Florida; Freeport, Bahamas; and Nassau, Bahamas.
In addition, the Carnival Freedom will offer a small number of four and five night sailings to Mexico during the fall and winter of 2015/16.

Reservations have opened for the new Galveston sailings aboard the Carnival Freedom.
