Carnival Debuts New National Ad Campaign

On September 23rd, Carnival will debut a brand new national marketing campaign across the major TV networks. The new marketing campaign focuses onĀ unforgettable and memorable vacation moments experienced every day by the cruise lineā€™s millions of guests, featuring photos from their guests.

Earlier this year, guests were asked to send Carnival photos and videos of their favorite moments from a Carnival cruise. Carnival stated that they received over 30,000 media pieces from their guests for the commercials.

ā€œFor more than 41 years, Carnival has been creating the backdrop for lasting vacation memories for more than 60 million guests and we know there is no one more qualified than them to tell the authentic story of what a Carnival cruise is truly like,ā€ said Jim Berra, chief marketing officer for Carnival Cruise Lines.Ā  ā€œThis campaign features real guests of all backgrounds and ages having fun and making great memories together.ā€

Carnival is planning on spending around $25 million on this campaign alone acrossĀ broadcast, radio, digital and direct mail between September and December 2013. The marketing campaign will officially debut on September 23rd during primetime on NBC, CBS,Ā Bravo, TNT, TLC, ABC Family, TBS and Food Network. The first commercial for the new campaign can be found below.

This is great and all, but in my opinion Carnival should work on it’s customer service before worrying about an ad campaign…
